Cape Cod Concerts
You are here
Welcome to Cape Cod! Not only are we known for our great beaches, amazing fishing, and delicious fried clams, Cape Cod also has some wonderful live music venues, both on shore and off.
One of the best places to see mainstream acts during the summer is the Cape Cod Melody Tent, located in Hyannis. It opened in the 1950’s, and seats 2,250, allowing a more intimate concert experience. Acts include live music, comedians, and children’s shows.
Many of the local pubs and bars in the area also house live music year round. Some options in Dennis include: Sundancer’s in West Dennis, Billy Goats Tavern in West Dennis, The Sanddollar in Dennis Port, and the Improper Bostonian in Dennis Port.
If you are looking to visit Hyannis Main Street for live music, make sure to stop at the British Beer Company, Embargo, and the Beech Tree Cantina. These venues also serve delicious food. Other solid options include Harvest Wine Bar in Dennis, the Barley Neck Inn in Brewster, and the Beachcomber in Wellfleet.
If you are looking for a quaint feel, many of the towns offer free concerts on the village green! Couples dance to classic waltzes, big band tunes, and barber shop quartets. The concerts are held weekly in July and August, weather permitting. Bring your own folding chairs, blankets, and a picnic dinner if you would like. Don’t forget a sweater or cover-up, it gets a little chilly when the sun goes down. Towns include Brewster, Dennis, Yarmouth, Orleans, Harwich, Hyannis, Mashpee, and Falmouth.
Many of the sunset cruises also have live music. Hy-line Cruises out of Hyannis offers Friday and Sunday night music cruises, and a Sunday afternoon Jazz cruise. Also out of Hyannis, Bay Spirit cruises offer a live music cruise on Tuesdays on their 63’ motor catamaran.
