Find Cape Cod's Best Fishing Spots & Resources
Cape Cod has always been known for its fantastic fishing. From the Cape Cod Canal to the dunes of Race Point in Provincetown, you can fish in everything from freshwater kettle ponds, brackish rivers, to the open ocean. The usual suspects include Striped Bass, Bluefish, Flounder, Black Sea Bass, Yellow Perch, Trout, and both Small and Largemouth Bass.

Freshwater Fishing: Anyone over the age of 14 must have a freshwater fishing license which varies in cost due to residency and age. This can be purchased through the MassWildlife website or at a state participating vendor.
Saltwater Fishing: Anyone over the age of 15 must have a saltwater fishing license which cost $10.00. This can be purchased through the Mass. Division of Marine Fisheries website.
The nearest bait and tackle shops include Don's One Stop in Dennisport, Riverview Bait and Tackle in South Yarmouth, and Sunrise Bait and Tackle in Harwich Port.
If you haven't had any luck fishing on land, you can also try out a charter fishing trip. There are many options leaving out of any of the Cape Cod towns, with a few of your close friends or a party boat of over 40 people!
